TONGYEONG GRAND BRIDGE

As an increasing number of tourists are visiting the Donam Tourism District and more and more people are moving into the new residential areas of Mireukdo Island, Tongyeong Grand Bridge was established to ease the traffic congestion at Chungmu Bridge. Measuring 591m in length and 20m in width, The Tongyeong Grand Bridge connects Dang-dong, Bodi Island, and Misu-dong through the Tongyeong Canal. It's construction was completed thrugh a combination of the strong arch-truss technique and the plate guard technique. One hundred and ninety-six green lights were installed along the 140m top arch to give soft and warm lights at night. When reflected on the waters, the lights create countless football-shaped images that attract many tourists to its beautiful night view.
