PANMUNJEOM
Panmunjeom is located in the demilitarized zone, 50 km north from Seoul and 10 km east from the city of Gaeseong. This area is most notably known for the peace talks that were held here on October 25, 1951 and was designated as the Joint Security Area on July 27, 1953 when the armistice agreement was signed.
This P'anmunjom is only 800 square meter area. It is officially called as Joint Security Area (JAS) between U.N. forces and North Korean forces, and is a special area that is out of a administrative control of South and North Korea. After the axe murder incident on August 18, 1976 by North Korean Soldiers, security guards can not walk over the other side's area
the bridge of NO RETURN, used to return POWs from both sides. This is the spot where all prisoners of war were released after the end of Korean War.

FREEDOM HOUSE
The freedom house was designed, erected, and dedicated at Panmunjom by the people of the Republic of Korea with the support of the United Nations Command. This is a historical symbol of the hope for a peaceful reunification of the divided Korea under a free and democratic form of government.
THE FLAG PLAZA
Flag Plaza honoring the 16 nations which provided combat forces to the ROK during the Korean War.
Philippines was one of the first nation to send forces during the Korean War.
